03 / Case Study
Hospitality brand refresh and integrated guest-facing system
Unyati Safari Lodge
Unyati Safari Lodge needed a clearer and more consistent identity that could strengthen its presence across hospitality, trade communication and everyday lodge operations. The project focused on creating a warm, recognisable system that reflected the lodge's real positioning near Kruger National Park without presenting it as something it is not.
- Role
- Brand identity, art direction, logo development, editorial design, information design, trade collateral, map design, uniform applications and guest-facing brand communication.
- Project status
- Ongoing brand rollout
- Note
- The new Unyati website is currently being developed as the next phase of the brand rollout.

02 — Brand identity
A clearer identity for the lodge.
The refreshed identity introduced a more distinctive and flexible visual system built around the Unyati landscape mark, earthy natural colours and a restrained burnt-clay accent. The direction was designed to feel warm, grounded and recognisable across both trade-facing and guest-facing applications.

03 — Editorial & trade collateral
Turning lodge information into a coherent story.
The identity was extended into a structured fact sheet and rates document for travel partners, groups and guests. The design brings accommodation, facilities, experiences, rates, location and community information together through clear hierarchy, considered photography and a consistent editorial rhythm.
04 — Physical brand applications
A brand designed for everyday use.
The refreshed identity was adapted across staff uniforms and practical lodge-facing touchpoints, helping create a more consistent guest experience. The applications balance the warmth of the lodge environment with the clarity and discipline of the wider identity system.

05 — Location and access
Positioned between three destinations.
Unyati's location is one of its strongest practical advantages. The lodge is positioned near Malelane Gate, with access to Kruger National Park and convenient connections to Mozambique and Eswatini. The map was designed to communicate this clearly without overwhelming guests or trade partners with unnecessary detail.

Website currently in development
Next phase.
The Unyati website is currently being redesigned to extend the refreshed identity into a more immersive and practical digital experience. The next phase will introduce clearer accommodation information, stronger visual storytelling, a more useful enquiry journey and a better representation of the lodge's location and offering.
07 — Closing
A more useful hospitality system.
The result is a more coherent identity that supports the way Unyati operates in practice. From trade information and rates to uniforms, location communication and guest-facing applications, the refreshed system gives the lodge a clearer and more consistent presence while remaining honest about the experience it offers.
